Bonus Presentation by Annette Graham

The West Florida Genealogical Society is excited to announce a last-minute, bonus presentation on Wednesday, July 3, at 11 a.m. Please join us at the West Florida Genealogy Library as Annette Graham shares with us the process she used to uncover the surprise great great grandfather no one in her family knew about using DNA.

Annette Graham is a professional genealogist and a researcher with Ancestry ProGenealogists. She has been interested in genealogy since she was in high school, her experience limited to the fascinating stories that had been passed down from her grandparents and her great grandparents. A long time member of Ancestry.com, she began to learn how to attach records to her online tree to prove what she'd always been told. She advanced her genealogical skills through Boston University's Professional Genealogical Research program and the ProGen Study group, as well as many institutes, conferences, seminars, and classes. She is requested to speak on a variety of genealogy topics, most often for understanding your DNA results and incorporating genetic genealogy into research She runs Blame It On My Roots Genealogy Services, where she specializes in DNA analysis, brick walls, family narratives, and working with probate attorneys to identify unknown heirs. She has been published in genealogy society journals, and most recently, as part of a compilation of narratives on the First Families of Bexar County. She volunteers her time with classes and 1-on-1 DNA consultations at her local society, and assists adoptees wishing to identify their birth families. She is the current registrar of the Ol' Shavano Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and most recently was the president of the San Antonio Genealogical and Historical Society.
