The West Florida Genealogical Society, a 501(c)(3) organization located in historic Pensacola, Florida, is the largest genealogical society in Northwest Florida.

WFGS was founded in 1982 to promote knowledge of and stimulate interest in the study of genealogy.

January Meeting: Exploring the WFGS Website

The West Florida Genealogical Society will meet on Saturday, January 4, 2024, at 10:30 am. The meeting will be held at the downtown Pensacola library, in meeting room B on the first floor (239 N. Spring Street).

WFGS Webmaster Erin Renfroe will join us remotely from Georgia to give us a guided tour of the WFGS website and the resources available on it.

Where is the Genealogy Collection Now?

All of the books that were in the stacks at the Genealogy Branch library are in the stacks at the downtown branch.

The genealogy collection is on the second floor at the top of the stairs, across from the main desk.
