Dyan Carpenter, Registrar of the Pensacola Chapter of the DAR, will be speaking on how to find your Revolutionary War ancestor and to prove their service to join the DAR. The program will apply to joining any lineage society - the concept is the same. So, even if you don’t have a Revolutionary War Ancestor, you might have a Union soldier, or someone who was a farmer (yes, they have societies for the descendants of farmers), or maybe your family had witches (yes, there is a society for that as well). There is a long list of lineage societies that your family may qualify for.
