Our speaker will be Dr. Dan Phillips. His topic will be: Jews' Role in the Civil War." Various groups who fought in the Civil War had unique challenges and rewards. Dr. Phillips has a thorough knowledge of many such groups and how the war affected them.

A retired professor of Chemistry from Pensacola State College, he now spends his time with his wife Penny and their dogs. Dr. Phillips is a avid Civil War collector. He has researched many battles and many aspects of the Civil War and obtained many Civil War artifacts. Dan is continually researching and reading on Civil War History and is passionate about that time period. We look forward to hearing his presentation!
