WFGS is holding its first virtual meeting and presentation. A cadastral map shows the boundaries and ownership of land parcels. WFGS past president Bert Outlaw will explain how to find and use these maps to learn more about your family history.

How to connect to a Webinar:
Once you click on the webinar registration button, you will be taken to a page that will ask you to register for the webinar. Enter your Name, City, State, and email. You must register a few days prior to the webinar.
On the day of the webinar, you receive an e-mail with a link to join the webinar. Click on the link a few minutes before 10:00 a.m., then stand by for the meeting to begin. Be sure your sound is turned up.
If the presenter has a handout, it will be available to download or print on the WFGS website under the “MEMBERS” section.
Ahead of the presentation, we will have a general meeting with Ms.Virginia Shelby presiding, and a treasurer’s report by Ms. Denise Mowery.
If all goes well in September, WFGS will continue to have monthly meetings and programs in October, November, and December. If the pandemic continues into 2021, the Board will consider holding meetings monthly or every other month, depending on member involvement.
