From the Facebook page: Don't miss this month's presentation on Monday, February 26th at 6pm in the Bay County Library. Dale Cox, Jackson County's most noted historian and author will tell the story of the Battle of Marianna, Florida. An amazing element in the Battle of Marianna is the adventure of Armstrong Purdee—an eight year old slave emancipated on the spot.
