From the Georgia Genealogical Society: Sanborn Fire Insurance Maps are detailed maps of U.S. cities and towns in the 19th and 20th centuries that were created to allow fire insurance companies to assess their total liability in urbanized areas of the U.S. In this session, Archives & Special Collections staff will review how to access these maps whether online or in archival collections, show you how to use them in your research, and provide an interesting case study of historical property research. Join us online or in-person; as space is limited registration is required. Click here to register: https://athenslibrary.libcal.com/event/13678511
